HESS is continuing to expand its leading position in the field of sustainable mobility by taking over KIEPE’s technological activities in the trolleybus segment. This will strengthen HESS’s development and system expertise while broadening its own product and service portfolio in the area of electric overhead line buses.
The integration of KIEPE’s technical know-how will significantly strengthen HESS’s system competency. HESS’s extensive experience in building modern, emission-free trolleybuses will be enhanced by KIEPE’s additional system expertise, creating substantial added value for operators and cities.
A particular focus is on the markets in which HESS already successfully operates. In addition, KIEPE’s existing Italian subsidiary will be integrated into HESS and act as a future service partner for existing fleets with KIEPE drive systems as well as new HESS systems in Italy. This will ensure that customers in Italy and other international markets receive continuous support.
HESS and KIEPE have been successfully working together for decades and the partnership has resulted in numerous trolleybus fleets. This includes a recent project in Verona and an upcoming one in Rimini. These projects will continue and benefit directly from the enhanced system integration at HESS.
