Since the beginning of 2025, the Swiss eBus Plus has already covered over 15,000 kilometres in Zurich's urban transport network with our project partner Verkehrsbetriebe Zürich - purely electrically and without additional fossil heating.
The newly developed vehicle boasts the latest generation of batteries, a highly efficient air conditioning system and up to 35% more range. This enables the 1:1 replacement of diesel buses - even in challenging winter operation.
The vehicle concept was developed jointly with ETH Zurich and the Bern University of Applied Sciences BFH and is based on state-of-the-art Swiss research, technology and innovation. It was also supported by the Swiss Federal Office of Energy SFOE as part of the P+D demonstration programme.
